Does Your Business Need Legal Help?

The Queen’s Business Law Clinic (QBLC) provides a range of free legal services to qualified clients.

Established in 2009, the QBLC operates year-round to provide free legal services to a wide variety of individuals, businesses and non-for-profit organizations in southeastern Ontario who would otherwise have difficulty affording legal counsel. The QBLC seeks to provide Queen’s Law students with a unique professional development opportunity while instilling in them the values of community service and the pro bono tradition.

For student caseworkers, work at the QBLC is part of a two-semester credit course that includes assignments and a weekly class. The QBLC also employs a couple of student caseworkers for the summer months, which provides students with a more intensive work experience and ensures continuity of client service.

Student caseworkers complete their work under the supervision of the Director and volunteer review counsel. The QBLC is grateful for support from its generous volunteer review counsel, the Law Foundation of Ontario, and Queen’s Faculty of Law as it continues to pursue its mandate.

The QBLC is proud to have contributed to the economic growth and social well-being of Kingston and surrounding communities by helping entrepreneurs, small businesses, charities and not-for-profit organizations with their legal issues.

The QBLC thanks its past and present clients for their support and contribution to the local community and economy. A few of the great clients we have served recently:
