Jana Mills, Law ’92, clerked for the Court of Appeal for Ontario before her Call to the Bar in 1994. Returning to her hometown of Kingston, she practiced as a sole practitioner in the areas of criminal and correctional law. In 1995 she assisted Commission counsel to the “Commission of Inquiry into Events at Prison for Women in Kingston” (The Honourable Louise Arbour, 1996) and in 1996 she assisted Commission counsel to the “Commission on Proceedings Involving Guy Paul Morin (The Honourable Fred Kaufman, 1997).

Linda Smith, Law’92, practiced law in Kingston and the surrounding area for more than 20 years. She has represented hundreds of legal aid clients in her capacity as a Legal Aid Ontario panel lawyer in family law, criminal law, child protection litigation and domestic violence matters. Linda also acted as duty/advice counsel on the per diem panel of lawyers assisting clients at the Family Court in Kingston.
